Professor Gary BURTLESS Economic Studies Brookings Institution Professor Burtless holds a chair in Economic Studies and has published widely in the areas of public finance, ageing, labour markets and income distribution.
Associate Professor Judith DAVEY New Zealand Institute for Research on Ageing, University of Wellington New Zealand Associate Professor Davey is the Director of the New Zealand Institute for Research on Ageing and an expert in the social, economic and policy implications of population ageing.
Associate Professor Scott HOFER Department of Human Development & Family Studies, Pennsylvania State University, USA Associate Professor Hofer is an expert in longitudinal design and analysis, lifespan developmental psychology, and gene-environment interactions.

She was previously Chief, Behavioural Medicine and Medical Sociology, US National Institute on Ageing. Her research interests include ageing and public health, and social factors in health and illness.
Professor Tim SMEEDING Centre for Policy Research, Syracuse University, USA Professor Smeeding is the Maxwell Professor of Public Policy and Director of the Centre for Policy and Research. His research interests include the economics of public policy including he economics of ageing.
Professor Jacqui SMITH Max Planck Institute for Human Development, Germany Professor Smith is an expert in psychological functioning in the old and oldest-old and is a Chief Investigator on the Berlin Ageing Study.
Professor Alan WALKER Dept of Sociological Studies, University of Sheffield, England Professor Alan Walker is an acknowledged expert on ageing in Europe and has been Professor of Social Policy at the University of Sheffield since 1985. He has conducted many studies within the EU about social exclusion and social integration, especially among older citizens.
